Dear Friends
The HBC renovations are in full swing!
We are aiming, as part of Stage 1 of the renovation works, to create a new ministry resources room, an safer, more practical Infant/Parent Room and to improve the auditorium and kitchen so we can move Sunday fellowship and mid-week ministry events downstairs.
It is envisaged that the auditorium and kitchen will function as a café and be able to cater in a professional way for large-sized ministry events such as prayer ministry conferences, weddings, funerals etc, and for our Sunday Services. The Infant/Parent room will also function as a mid-week meeting room and waiting area. What a huge blessing it is going to be!
Work is progressing really well – praise God! - and we are on track to meet our end-August timeframe. We can’t thank enough all of you who have been coming along to our fortnightly working bees to make the vision a reality. Your hard work has saved our church so much money in terms of tradesmen and building materials.
In terms of progress - the stage area has been enclosed, the new ministry resources room created, the kitchen has been gutted, the second entrance to the auditorium has been cut out and there is a big hole in the kitchen wall for where the new servery will go. Next week the new floor will be laid, the kitchen and doors installed and the following week the wall panelling put in place.
As previously foreshadowed, we are looking for people to sponsor some items for the new café, fellowship area and Infant/Parent Room to ensure it is fully operational. Our tight budget does not allow for these much needed items.
We have done a lot of shopping around for the best deals and a list of items and sponsorship envelope is enclosed with this letter.
It works a bit like a bridal registry – pick what you would like to bless the church with, write it on the front of the envelope provided and pop the money inside and place it in the offering bag (or direct deposit into the church’s account). We have already sourced the items and will purchase them on your behalf.
Feel free to contact Lana Hall if you would like to know more. Lana can be contacted at lanaandmike@optusnet.com.au or on 9718-4505.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity. You are such a blessing to our church!
God Bless
